The Secret Life of Us will be released on DVD in Australia on 12th November 2001. (Note: These DVD's will be in region 4 coding, so unless you are in Australia or have a machine which can play region 4 DVD's, there will be no use in buying them!).
But this is good news for people not living in Australia, because this at least, means they are considering releasing it on DVD. If sales are good in Oz, maybe they'll consider releasing it worldwide!. *fingers crossed everybody*

Abi Tucker's performance has been postponed for a week. She will be performing her brand new single on the 24th September instead. This is her first live television performance of it.
Also performing are 'The Superjesus' and 'One Dollar Short'. Monday, September 24. Doors open 6.30pm.
City Live, Fox Studios in Sydney - must be over 18. Free entry.

Abi Tucker is that rarest of creatures: an actress who is working regularly. Best known for her role in the drama series, The Secret Life of Us. Everybody, her double A-sided single, is ample demonstration of her skills as a writer, musician and performer. It features some very tasty Wurlitzer piano, lush acoustic guitars, a pair of surprising brass blasts, crunched-up guitars in the pre-chorus and some brilliant programming that keeps the whole thing kickin' on the dance floor, even when the mood is quiet. Written by Don Walker, produced by Wicked Beat Sound System and sung by Abi Tucker, it's hardly surprising that Everybody is such a superb piece of music.

Abi will be doing a one-off live performance of Everybody on Saturday 15th September at Fox Studios in Sydney 4pm. This performance is free to the public and will be live to air on Channel V (payTV music channel). It is unlikely Abi will get another chance to perform live with shooting for the second season of 'The Secret Life of Us' commencing in late November and her jetting off overseas and in the studio for most of October. (Note from the Ed: Wonder if she'll be coming to the UK? We can only hope!)

The single's release has been put back a week, and will be now be released on 17th September throughout Australia.

Abi will be doing a webchat next Wednesday night - after TSLOU UK time (around midnight) for The Secret Life Of Us on the C4 site. Two sneak preview files of her new singles released in Australia Sept 7 will also be on the site for everyone to listen to.

30th August 2001

Extra special viewing this week for all TSLOU fans in Oz, as a double episode is screening, and as a bonus, at the end of the first show Abi's new clip for EVERYBODY will screen IN FULL! (You lucky lot, shame i'm in the UK, and no such luck for us!)

Her songs are being released as a double A side single on September 7th. Track 1, Everybody, was composed by the great Don Walker, performed by Abi and mixed by Wicked Beat Sound System, while Everything was written and performed by Abi, and mixed by the luscious Pound System. All avid viewers of the Secret Life of Us (and that includes me!) will have spotted Abi performing Track 2 in her karaoke performance at the Fu Bar.
